The All New stand-alone putting greens are modeled right off the SIM greens we make for bays. These greens are made from our Commander surface and 1/2-inch EVA foam tiles. The total cup depth ends up being 1.25" deep and is able to drop a ball like a real hole. With these greens we are able to cut cups anywhere on the surface. Typically we'll drill 4 to 5 cups depending on the size of the green. This putting green has the feel of being on the practice green on a golf course. You can putt around many balls in various directions without having to be stuck putting only one direction. They come with a 3×3 mat to use when hitting small pitches and chips. Balls coming in too fast will be stopped by the corner backstops.

You can also line these with fringe as seen in some photos. Ready-to-order greens don’t come with this, but you can call in for custom quotes.

These greens are perfect for a basement if you have the room.

We can make them bigger, but they then require a seam. We pre-cut seams and supply tape to seam it together. We make it easy for the customer to finish the seam—you just need another set of hands to help.

The maximum dimension on Commander turf is 15 feet. You can order them in sizes from 8×8 to 14×14, but we'll make them in any dimension you like. Please just call in.

Shipping information

Models with an 8-ft dimension ship UPS. All others must be freighted. The UPS shipping charges that are calculated and paid at checkout are for a box of foam for the foundation. All other costs for the surface roll are built into the prices.

New to Motion Systems? Start Here (Glossary)

3DOF (Three Degrees of Freedom)
Refers to three independent motion axes — pitch (forward/back tilt), roll (side tilt), and heave (up/down motion). The simulator moves dynamically along these axes to reproduce the feel of acceleration, braking, and cornering forces.

Actuator
An electro-mechanical device that converts digital control signals into physical motion. In motion simulators, actuators lift, tilt, or shift the platform precisely to simulate real-world forces.

Motion Platform
The structural base that houses actuators, mounts, and mechanical joints. It moves the cockpit or seat according to real-time telemetry from the simulator software.

Direct-Drive Wheelbase
A steering motor system that connects the wheel directly to the motor shaft — no gears or belts — for instantaneous torque response and realistic steering feel.

Qubic System (QS)
A Polish manufacturer known for high-precision motion control systems (e.g., QS-220 actuators). Their products are used in professional racing and flight simulators worldwide.

DOF (Degree of Freedom)
Each independent motion axis (surge, sway, heave, roll, pitch, yaw). More DOFs = more realistic motion replication.
